Who We Are

The Silicon Valley Panthers are a premier professional basketball organization based in the Bay Area, California, proudly competing in the American Basketball Association (ABA). Built on a foundation of excellence, integrity, and community, the Panthers are dedicated to developing elite athletes while inspiring leadership and personal growth beyond the game.

Under the leadership of Owner and President Shahbaz Mahmood and an accomplished coaching staff, the Panthers have become one of the ABA’s top performing programs, earning three consecutive West Region Championships (2024, 2025, and 2026) and making three straight Final Four appearances.

More than a basketball team, the Silicon Valley Panthers are committed to giving back to the community, mentoring the next generation, and creating opportunities for players to succeed at the highest levels. Every season, the organization strives to uphold its core values of teamwork, discipline, respect, and excellence both on and off the court.

ABA Season Overview

  • Season runs from October through April

  • Minimum of 16 regular season games

  • Games are primarily played on weekends

  • January and February feature the Dr. Martin Luther King All-Star Classic events

  • March and April host the ABA Playoffs and Championship run
